Here at Bloomingrove our number one goal is to be an all around good place to be, whether you are coming in for medical, play, training, grooming or having your pet spend the night. Stop in to say hello, as this website can give some basic information but cannot emanate who we truly are!

Our facility is state of the art, clean, warm and friendly. We are a full-service veterinary medical facility, located in North Greenbush, New York (a miles drive from Troy, Rensselaer, East Greenbush, Wynantskill and Averill Park- a few miles drive to Colonie, Albany and Latham), neighbor to the intersection of Route 4 and Route 43, Exit 8 off of I-90.

We strive to provide the best possible medical care, surgical care and dental care for your cherished pets. We promote responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and educational opportunities for our clients.     David E. Stone, DVM

    Dr. Stone is known for his ability to help our clients deal with both difficult and wonderful situations in a manner that makes your visit memorable (in only a good way regarding your treatment). He is a terrific diagnostician.
  • John Green, DVM

    We are happy to have Dr. John Green as part of the Bloomingrove's Veterinary team. Dr. Green's kind and compassionate nature with years of experience makes him the perfect addition to our staff. In addition to his vast medical knowledge base of cats and dogs, he also treats reptiles and amphibians.
  • Laurie Coger, DVM

    Dr. Coger is known for her deep insight and understanding. Her knowledge base encompasses both eastern and western medicine. Many of our clients know her as "The Holistic Veterinarian". Dr. Coger specializes in Orthopedic Manipulation, a chiropractic like technique that helps alleviate many arthritic like symptoms. Her love of animals and easy going attitude makes your office visit a pleasant one at the least.
  • James Desir, DVM

    Dr. Desir's charm and easy going nature is greatly appreciated by both our pets and their owners.  Our UNDERWATER TREADMILL and REHAB with Dr. Desir  is up and running- if you have a senior pet that needs a little extra exercise that is gentle on those old bones the water treadmill is the perfect way to keep them in shape comfortably. Rehab is also available for injured, over weight pets and for fun for those with lots of extra energy.  Unfortunately, Dr. Desir is on an extended leave.  We hope to have him join us again in the future.
  • Mark Nowak, DVM

    Dr. Nowak's kindness is unsurpassed and with his years of experience he is an absolutely awesome addition to our staff . He is diligent in taking as much time as needed to help our pet owner's understand all aspects of their pet's medical needs, whether it be a terminal diagnosis  or a new puppy behavior  concerns he will always give you his time and dedication.
  • Jennifer Kareklas, DVM

    Dr. K -besides being a fun, caring, and medically astute general practitioner with years of experience, she offers both eastern and western medicine options including acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapies. ACUPUNCTURE**With Dr. Jennifer Kareklas  on Mondays and Fridays for both small animal and exotics. Acupuncture is indicated for a variety of problems such as those that involve paralysis, allergies, and pain including, arthritis, inter-vertebral disk disease, traumatic nerve injury, feline asthma, lick granulomas, and allergic dermatitis are just some of the ailments that it can benefit with.
  • Amy Kurowski, DVM

    is able to enhance the lives of many  species through her  integral knowledge of an abundance of breeds including cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles, snakes, geckos, bearded dragons, and she sees birds! Dr. Kurowski's smart, kind, fun nature and love of all creatures large and small makes her a perfect addition to our facility.
